Marco Gutierrez

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Son to two of the hardest working parents that came from Tijuana, Baja California. Brother to one of the coolest sisters in the world. From a young age video games, music, and traveling shaped my world. Cooking professionally was never a thought till high school. Graduating class of 2004 led me to abandon my social life and pursue a real career in the Culinary Industry. All while not realizing how many people I would let down, lead on and abandon all together.

Working all over Los Angeles from 2006 to 2016, I was trying every style of kitchen till I found the one that would help me grown and plan my far future.Moving on and out to College Station, Texas helped me to learn a new form of life. In Texas between 2016 to 2019, much of it was spent venturing out to see the one I fell in love with in New York and I was able to see everything in between the two states; life in the south from the vantage point of the driver seat. Again with a move to Portland, Oregon; currently making a decent living as a Chef in the Sports and Entertainment sector. Learning that life has a way with showing you the more important things in life as the years press on. Working on my leading and teaching skills is what I aspire to be good at, all while keeping grounded and encouraging those around that want more from this career to just hang on; there is hope.

With that… a bit of luck, some hard work, persistence and whole lot of patience I’m living a most wonderful life… and life really is but a dream.
